A BLESSING OVER YOU
"May God supply all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
Philippians 4:19 & 2 Corinthians 9:8
How We Teach Giving
Giving is Essential to the Mission of the Church. Giving sustains the ministry and blesses the giver. So we unashamedly teach giving!
We strive to teach giving without manipulation, even the manipulation of legalism.
We align ourselves with 2 Corinthians 9:7 which says that each should give what they have decided in their hearts to give, not under compulsion, but cheerfully.
We also believe that giving is a means of breakthrough!
Generosity can unlock blessings in your personal life and also in our church community. Luke 6:38 reminds us that we give “and it will be given to you... good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.”
Even Solomon recognized that “a generous person will prosper... and be refreshed” Proverbs 11:25 So we emphasize pairing giving with faith and trust in God’s ability in our inability.
We try to be model giving through our personal generosity and through the generosity of the church. After all, we know as well that giving is a bigger blessing than receiving. Acts 20:35
We believe everyone should be a giver. Even those with only very little.
God is a God who can multiply and do a lot with our little. He praised the widows generous but tiny giving, and fed 5000 with a little boys lunch. No matter how small, giving is valuable when done in faith!
There is no alternative to giving.
Even in the extreme poverty of the Macedonian church, we see they’re generosity welling up in financial giving as seen in 2 Corinthians 8:2-3.
We encourage EVERYONE to participate in the giving of their finances.
Tithe
Tithe means 10% and was done first by Abraham who was under no law or obligation to do so.
We don’t teach the law of tithing or the curse of Malachi as seen by many ministers. But we do encourage those in the church to give that 10% in faith. And to go beyond it in joy!

All in all, we believe the Bible’s teaching on giving is one that should bring peace and freedom, inspire faithfulness, and motivate giving for the flourishing of the ministry of the gospel.
